Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Anaesthetists with interest or skills in a specific area of anaesthesia can participate and contribute to a Special Interest Group. There are currently 17 SIGs operating under the umbrella of the Anaesthesia Continuing Education Committee (ACE Committee). The main focus of each SIG is to provide a forum for continuing education for anaesthetists tending to specialise in these areas.

If you'd like to join a SIG, please download an application form.

The following handbook is a compilation of ACE Committee documents that will be able to assist you in planning and running your events:

ACE Committee Policy on meeting timetabling

Special Interest Group meetings are encouraged to hold sessions within the ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) and ASA National Scientific Congress (NSC) or to have satellite meetings in conjunction with these major meetings.

Standalone SIG meetings should be scheduled with at least a 10 working day buffer on either side of the major meetings for ANZCA, ASA and NZSA.
