Welfare sessions
The plenary session will focus on the potential for “healthy hospitals” and how we achieve this. The recent Dr Hadiza Bawa-Garba case which has caused much discussion in UK will be under scrutiny. Dr Shahina Braganza will present on “Team wellness, why it matters and how we can get started” and Dr Tracey Tay will speak on “healthy workplace outcomes”.
In the concurrent session addresses the progress in trainee welfare with presentations on the generational gap and the challenges that presents. Dr Maryanne Turner will deliver the outcomes of the ANZCA Trainee Wellbeing working group; and Dr Suzi Nou and Dr Akshay Hungenahally will talk on “dealing with the exam results you weren’t expecting”.
