Event Planning

Event Planning Resources

If you're planning on organising an anaesthesia-related event the ACE website has a range of resources to assist you.

All specialist anaesthetists are required to maintain continuing professional development and this is can be done by attending events and meetings that attract CPD credits. For more information please contact the CPD Unit of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

The ANZCA website has more detailed information on their Continuing Professional Development Program.

If you would like assistance in planning an event, you can contact the Event Departments of the ANZCAASA or NZSA.

Special Interest Group meetings are encouraged to hold sessions within the ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) and ASA National Scientific Congress (NSC) or to have satellite meetings in conjunction with these major meetings. Standalone SIG meetings should be scheduled with at least a 10 day buffer on either side of the major meetings for ANZCA, ASA and NZSA.

The ACE Handbook is currently being reviewed with an updated version to come. For SIGS and Combined CME committees the updated handbook will be able to assist you in planning and running your events.

We are looking forward to another fantastic year in 2023.
