History of Anaesthesia Special Interest Group

OBJECTIVE

As its name suggests, the History of Anaesthesia Special Interest Group is primarily concerned with researching and presenting the history of anaesthesia.

If you have an interest in history and would like to participate, please feel welcome to join us!

ACTIVITIES

Recently, as we neared the 75th anniversary of the infamous Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor,  Dr John Crowhurst gave a presentation on ABC Radio-National’s ‘Ockham’s Razor titled ‘The Legacy of the Anaesthesia Events at Pearl Harbor, 7th December 1941’ on Sunday 27 November 2016. Here is the link if you would like to listen:

In addition, members of the History of Anaesthesia SIG contribute to the ASA's Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Journal's History Supplement, which is an annual publication.
