Australiasian RASIG Database of peripheral nerve blockade

The RA SIG endorses this project to establish accurately the incidence of neurological complications following peripheral nerve blockade in Australasian practice of regional anaesthesia using a range of techniques including ultrasound guidance. By using the standardised definitions a benchmark for complications will be realised for all practices.

The prospective audit aims to collect data from upwards of 10,000 patients who have received peripheral nerve blockade. The project was initiated by Dr Michael J Barrington at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne.
